DR. MARJORIE MILLER-KHAWAM

The Doctor and her staff respect your time and your input and they are committed to alleviating your pain.

Dr. Khawam, a Board Certified Podiatric Surgeon, provides all aspects of foot care.  She specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of foot and ankle disorders.  She has the qualifications and medical interest to treat:

• Heel pain
• Bunions and hammertoes
• Sports injuries
•  Pediatric foot problems
• Scar rejuvenation laser treatment
• Fungal toenails
• Diabetic foot care
• Circulatory problems
• Fractures
• Neuromas
• Foot and ankle deformities

Dr. Khawam's special qualities include: 

• Treating all members of the family, regardless of age or foot and ankle disorder.
• Caring for all aspects of podiatry
• Making every attempt to provide conservative (non-surgical) care, but when necessary, has the experience and skills to perform all types of surgical procedures on the foot and ankle.
• Ability to provide the most advanced foot and ankle treatments and complex reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle
• Educating the patient on cause, proper care and treatment

Office Manager, Rosanna, has been with A Step Above Foot Care since 2005. She handles all aspects of accounts payable, and accounts receivable and will be happy to help you with any questions you may have about your account. She is also in charge of human resources, handles the business administration for the practice and assists with the marketing.

 

 

 

 

Vickey, a bilingual, certified medical assistant, joined our office in 2006. When you call the office, Vickey will often be the one answering the telephone and scheduling your appointments, and she will be the one who welcomes you when you arrive at the office.

Her primary responsibilities are related to patient care including diabetic shoe fitting, wound care, casting for orthotics, physical therapy, and assisting the doctor in procedures. She is a certified x-ray technician as well.
 

 

 

 

Grace, a bilingual certified medical assistant, joined A Step Above Foot Care in 2010. She assists in direct patient care including physical therapy, answering the telephones, and assists in filing.

Clara joined A Step above Foot Care in 2011.  She works in our office part-time, and is a bilingual certified medical assistant. She answers the telephone, assists in direct patient care, and assists in filing.

The newest employee to our office is Vanessa, who joined our staff in September 2011.  She is a bilingual certified medical assistant, and answers the telephone, helps with patient care, and also assists Rosanna with administrative duties including billing.

Sebastian, who has been with A Step Above Foot Care since 2008, assists in the paperwork duties of the office. He also comes in when the office is closed for meetings and seminars to answer telephones and make appointments.
